This policy explains, in plain language, what personal data Really Good News collects, why we need it, who helps us process it and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who is responsible for your data
Really Good News is published by Anders Jakobsson Online Solutions Design Agency (ASSE), 200/2, Moo 5, Tambon Kram, Amphoe Klaeng, Rayong 21190, Thailand. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
You can reach us at office@reallygoodnews.se or +66 95 387 5615 with any question about this policy or your personal data.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address, the name you choose to give us, and the date your account was created.
- Sign-in data: if you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google.
- Subscription data: your subscription status, plan, renewal date and the customer reference used by our payment provider.
- Reading preferences you save yourself, such as language choice, favourites and reading history.
- Technical data needed to operate the site securely, such as request logs and error reports.
What we do not collect
We never see or store your full card number, expiry date or security code. Card details are entered directly in the payment form provided by our payment processor, Stripe, and are handled by Stripe.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
Why we use your data
- To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
- To take payment for your subscription and give you access to the weekly edition, the archive and downloads.
- To send you service messages about your account, payments and the Friday edition you subscribed to.
- To keep the service working, prevent abuse and fix technical problems.
- To meet accounting and legal obligations relating to your purchase.
Who processes data on our behalf
We use a small number of service providers who process data only on our instructions:
- Lovable — hosting of the website and the database that stores your account, subscription status and saved preferences.
- Stripe — payment processing, card handling, invoices and the billing portal.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with your Google account.
How long we keep it
Account and preference data is kept for as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your account and preference data. Records connected to payments and invoices are kept for as long as accounting rules require, after which they are deleted.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete your account, or object to a particular use. Write to office@reallygoodnews.se and we will answer as soon as we can.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account page, and you can unsubscribe from the Friday email using the link in the email or by contacting us.
Cookies and similar technology
We use only the storage needed to run the service: a session cookie or token that keeps you signed in, and the storage our payment form needs to complete a payment securely. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
International transfers and security
Because our service providers operate internationally, your data may be processed outside your own country. Access to your data is limited to what is needed to run the service, connections to the site are encrypted, and each subscriber can only reach their own account data.
Children
Really Good News is intended for adults. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 16. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will remove the account.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date above. Significant changes will also be announced to subscribers by email.
